Soooo long since I posted - bad blogger! Belated happy Halloween to all. We had a little party on Friday for the kids and their cousins - apple bobbing, lots of sweeties and sparklers galore. Had to pull the kids off the ceilings at abou 10.30 p.m. to try and get them to bed, nutcases all round...

Some cards...
Some cards I've been working on over the past few days...
An 80th birthday card for a woman born on 5th Avenue, New York
40th birthday card, outside...
and inside.
Another 40th, caption says "So many candles, so little cake..."
Yet another 40th! Caption says "Don't forget, you're not 40..." and inside says "you're 18 with 22 years experience!"

Spooky!
We were at a christening party on Saturday and the babas were dancing in the garden. It was dark so I was playing with the fab new camera, trying different settings. I took this picture of Meabh. She was about to spin around and whatever way the flash caught her, it looks like she has a little ghostie attached! Spoooooky!

Which tarot card are you
Found this on Lainey's blog, which one are you, I'm the Star!
You are The Star
Hope, expectation, Bright promises.
The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised
The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you're a dreamer, but you're not the only one.
What Tarot Card are You?

The power of chocolate...
I've always said chocolate is a very powerful thing, not to be used lightly:) Anyway, it was another horrible day today and Meabh was all dressed up in her fab Baby Gap yellow raincoat (first worn by Sean, then by Niamh, now by Meabh. This coat gets around!) She looked so cute, so I decided to take a photo. Would she pose? What do you think! This is photo one:
After at least two minutes of shameless begging, she still wouldn't pose.
Me: "Please Meabh, smile for the camera, please??"
Her: "No Mama, no photo, no Mama" (She's obviously perfecting her paparazzi speak).
Eventually I resort to blackmail - chocolate is offered. And this is the response:
Honestly, is there anything chocolate can't do???

Weekend away....
Well, DH and I got away for the weekend... on our own! My Mam and Dad minded the nutsies from Friday till Sunday. And typically, after giving out about and to them all summer, I missed them the minute they walked out the door! (Got over it pretty quickly though when I got to have a shower on my own... lol). We used our alone time wisely - went to the National Concert Hall on Friday night to see Duke Special play with the RTE CO. It was absolutely brilliant, enjoyed every minute of it. Then on Saturday morning, we headed to Kilkenny for DH's cousin's 30th birthday party. It was in Hotel Kilkenny, and great fun all round. We didn't get home till after 2! (Now I know that's not late for most people, but my bed normally calls me any time from 9, so 2o'c is unreal!). We were up early the next morning to see Kenny Egan win a silver medal, and then we headed back to collect the kids. It was so relaxing...
We stopped at a park in Castlecomer on the way back and walked around for a bit. I took a few pics but they didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped.
Sean saying "don't take that picture!"
Is this an alpaca or a llama? Not sure which...
A duck (or is it a goose) looking very bloody snotty...

Book from Lainey's Crop
Here are the pics of my book from Lainey's crop on Saturday. It was so much fun... and I'm feeling the need to buy myself a binder thingy... Hmmm...!
