Smarties....

Meabh loves her smarties and here she is, enjoying some on the sly...

Weekend away....

Well, DH and I got away for the weekend... on our own! My Mam and Dad minded the nutsies from Friday till Sunday. And typically, after giving out about and to them all summer, I missed them the minute they walked out the door! (Got over it pretty quickly though when I got to have a shower on my own... lol). We used our alone time wisely - went to the National Concert Hall on Friday night to see Duke Special play with the RTE CO. It was absolutely brilliant, enjoyed every minute of it. Then on Saturday morning, we headed to Kilkenny for DH's cousin's 30th birthday party. It was in Hotel Kilkenny, and great fun all round. We didn't get home till after 2! (Now I know that's not late for most people, but my bed normally calls me any time from 9, so 2o'c is unreal!). We were up early the next morning to see Kenny Egan win a silver medal, and then we headed back to collect the kids. It was so relaxing...

We stopped at a park in Castlecomer on the way back and walked around for a bit. I took a few pics but they didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped.

Sean saying "don't take that picture!"

Is this an alpaca or a llama? Not sure which...

A duck (or is it a goose) looking very bloody snotty...

My Dubs were Cats for one day...

Ok, final post for today, honest! Sean and Niamh went to the hurling semi-final yesterday. Some of DH's family live in Kilkenny so we always have a soft spot for the Cats in our house... But never if they're playing the Dubs...!

She lurves her pasta...

Just had to post up this pic of Meabh on Sunday evening. She loves her pasta!

Book from Lainey's Crop

Here are the pics of my book from Lainey's crop on Saturday. It was so much fun... and I'm feeling the need to buy myself a binder thingy... Hmmm...!

End of the world weather!

OMG, have you ever seen anything like the rain today? I had to go out earlier to collect a takeaway - there were no drivers available and the roads were flooded. I said to myself, yeah right, I'll be there in 5 minutes. 35 minutes later I finally got there and home. We live in Drumcondra so we get the traffic coming away from Croke Park, so that's a lot. Add to that closed roads, burst mains and end of the world rain, and nobody is a happy bunny!
On a lighter note, Lainey's crop was on today in Castleknock. It's so long since I was at a crop, I was almost nervous going in! But, needless to say, it was a brilliant day. I'm almost finished my little book, and I'll post some photos of it tomorrow. Lainey and AnnaMarie also said that there'll be a big scrapping day on 1st November - my birthday (it'll be the 16th anniversary of my 21st, lol). Guess what I'm getting for my b'day - a day out! Already counting down the days!

Day out...

We drove out to Wicklow today, and stopped in the Sally Gap to take some pics. It was just gorgeous...

And then we went for pizza, pasta and chocolate ice-cream - an important part of any Irish bank holiday!

Bella-tastic!

I bought some new watercolour pencils on Saturday, so I decided to use them on some of my new Bella stamps. Do I need to say how much I lurve all the Bella stamps? As usual, all comments gratefully received!

Yay I have a blog!

Woohoo, I have a blog! Soooo exciting - now I just have to find things to do so I can blog about them ;) I'll start with some photos of my gang, just so you can put some faces to the names when I start ranting about them all.
